It was a bright sunny morning.
A girl woke up at 6 a.m. sharp.
She was none other that our cutie, Vani.
Today was special--
It was her first day at a new school.
With a mix of excitement and nervousness, she got ready quickly. After taking a bath, she went downstairs and greeted her family.
"Good morning mumma..... papa" Vani said softly
"Good morning princess " her parents said with warm smiles
She sat at the dining table and quietly had her breakfast.
Her choti maa smiled and said,
"Don't forget to tell us how your first day goes."
And vani nodded
Her father looked at her and asked,
"Beta, ready ho? Chale school?"
Vani gave a small smile and nodded.
At School
Vani walked into the school building, her heart beating .
A little faster. Everything felt new… unfamiliar.
She slowly made her way towards her classroom.
Just then, two girls approached her.
“Are you new here?” one of them asked.
“Yes…” Vani replied nervously.
“Oh hi! I’m Aarushi, and she’s Shreya. What’s your name?.
Aarushi said with a friendly smile.
“Hi… I’m Vani Rathor,” she replied.
“Come, sit with us,” Shreya said warmly.
Vani smiled softly and nodded.
Maybe… this new beginning wasn’t so scary after all.
Vani’s pov
As soon as I enter the my classroom, two girls approached me and asked me about my name and tell me to sit with them . I sat with them and the bell rings.
"Is it assembly time now" I asked to Shreya
"Yep" said Shreya
At assembly
I saw a boy who was coming down from building, I didn't realize, I just kept watching him, he was so handsome, charming. Then Arushi asked me " do you like him" I replied "yes". Then I realized what I say , I say " no no it's not like that you are thinking" Arushi and Shreya shared a look
then they see him and his friends. They call them . And they approached us, I was still looking at him deeply. Then he
look at me, I sifted my gaze from him to ground.
"Hey what's your name" one of them a boy asked me
" Hi I'm vani rathor what's yours" I asked him
"Hi vani I'm Aarav , he is Reyansh and he is Eshaan" said Aarav.
I gave him a small smile, then we stood and did prayer , after it we went to the class room.

At classroom.
After the assembly, Vani walked back to her classroom with Shreya and Aarushi.
But her mind…
was still stuck there.
On him.
Eshaan.
She didn’t even know why.
She had just seen him once… and still, something felt
different.
“Vani…” Aarushi called, waving her hand in front of her face.
“Hm?”
“Where are you lost?” Shreya asked, smirking.
“Now don’t say… you’re thinking about him,” Aarushi added teasingly.
Vani quickly looked away.
“I’m not…
”
“Sure?”
Before she could reply, the teacher entered.
“Good morning, students.”
“Good morning, ma’am.”
The class settled down.
“Today we have a new student. Come, introduce yourself.”
Vani stood up.
“Good morning, ma’am… I’m Vani Rathor. I’ve recently
shifted here… I hope we all get along well.”
“Alright, sit down.”
Vani sat, trying to focus on the class now.
But somewhere deep inside…
she knew—
Today wasn’t just a normal day.
After School — Corridor Scene
The final bell rang.
Students rushed out, filling the corridors with noise and
energy.
Vani walked with Shreya and Aarushi, still adjusting to everything.
“Let’s go canteen,” Aarushi said excitedly.
As they turned towards the stairs—
Vani suddenly stopped.
Her steps froze.
Right in front of her…
Stood Aarav, Reyansh, and Eshaan.
“Hey!” Aarav greeted casually.
“First day kaisa tha?”
“Good…” Vani replied softly.
Reyansh smiled. “Survived 11th?”
She laughed a little. “I think so.”
Aarav chuckled. “Good. If you need anything, just tell me.
Consider me your… unofficial guide.”
There was something very comfortable about him.
Safe. Easy.
Like a brother.
Then…
Eshaan spoke.
“Class kahan hai tumhari?"
Vani looked at him.
“Second floor…”
He nodded slightly.
“Hmm.”
That’s it.
No extra words.
But his voice…
Stayed.
“Chalo, we’re going,” Reyansh said, pulling Aarav along.
Aarav turned once more.
“Take care, okay?”
Vani nodded.
And just before leaving—
Eshaan glanced at her.
Just for a second.
Then walked away.
Vani stood there…
Watching them go.
Her heart slightly faster than usual.
“Bas ek baar dekha hai…” she whispered to herself.
“…phir bhi…”
Aarushi leaned close, grinning
“Phir bhi?”
Vani looked away, smiling softly.
“Nothing.”
